Top Two Tuesday

Top two songs on your Ipod.

Ryan and I were dreaming and wondering what the world would be like if there was only Christian inspired music.  I attribute some of the downfall to our society is people's attraction to music that is negative towards others and flat out nasty.  Sure there are people that can listen to "that kind of music" and it have no effect and yes I am talking adults I have no problem with that, however our youth tend to get wrapped up in that culture or lifestyle and personally I think it is toxic. I am not just talking about rap btw pop music is just as guilty. I used to listen to this kind of music and the second my kid knew the lyrics to "Low" by Flo rider that was it. I changed my station and never looked back. In any case onto the topic at hand.

Top two songs on your Ipod (or in my case Ipad)

1. Francesca Battistelli "This is the Stuff"
I LOVE this song. I swear this is so me. I am constantly losing my keys, cell phone, and talking my way out of tickets.  What a great song to sing when you think your day is not going the way you planned.  It reminds me of how everyday I am blessed no matter what "little things" happen to me.

2. Casting Crowns "Praise YOU in This Storm"
What an amazing song about our God and he is the same God always no matter where we are in life. I love the power of this song.

Top two tuesday Dream Rooms

I have lots of ideas for a dream room here are a couple:

1. Playroom/study place for the kids
I have always wanted a hug playroom for the kids.  This one is so amazing, I love the puppet theatre and with my kids we would make room for a STAGE! I have three performers who love to sing and dance. And look at those built in desk, I would need one more of course but how awesome is that!

2. A patio you can live on.  I am talking bar, kitchen, fireplace, tv, hot tub and pool.  Oh that sounds heavenly.

Top Two Tuesday - Outfits for Spring!

Well we all know that I am definitely NOT one to consult on spring fashion for Women......I do however know lots about kids fashion.  I love nothing more than dressing up my kids in cute outfits, they are my only accessory so I take pride in what they are wearing.  Me on the other hand, well I have one pair of jeans and a few skirts and pants that I rotate through on a weekly basis but mostly I sport the, "I just went to the gym look" (or really I just did Zumba at home!) So when Taylor posted this weeks Top Tuesday I naturally went to kids fashion.

1. The boys.  WOW boys clothes have come SUCH a long way since I had C 5 1/2 years ago! I used to be on a constant search for cute boys clothes and I really only had luck at Old Navy, because all the other places looked too "babyish" for my taste.  I love my boys to look like "little men" I think we have Children's Place to thank for the initial burst of boys fashion.   Gymboree has been a big hit for me lately in both boys and girls clothes....I also love their less expensive but equally as cute Crazy8 store!

I love this Gymboree look for C.  Gymboree has come a very long way and they are usually my first stop
I love this bright jacket from Gymboree! It serves two purposes
 1. It's super cute  2. I can find my kid pretty easily at a park with this on

2. The Girl - Now my little R LOVES FASHION!!! When I found out I was having a girl it scared me a bit because I HATED wearing dresses as a kid and couldn't have cared less about fashion.  However with my child I embraced the idea of being able to dress her up.  It rubbed off because she loves clothes and can but an outfit together better than me.  I took her to the Gymboree website and she picked these three gems!

What a fun dress I love CORAL!!!

Oh denim dress, I hated you as a kid......but you were never this cute!

Gotta love the accessories R LOVES the shoes and the purse, but she asked if I would make her bow!

Thanks Taylor for another fun T cubed

Top Two Tuesday - Strange Addictions

She know's
They all want her to go
But that's O.K. man
She don't like them anyway
(This song is probably about something illeagal/immoral WOW I never listened to it really!)

Today's Top Two Tuesday "Strange Addictions" has me blasting Jane's Addiction as I am writing. It takes me back to my "younger years" these days it's Christian radio and praise and worship music. But is sure is fun to play some old songs and think about those good 'ol times.

Back to the topic.

Angry Birds.....oh man those Angry Birds. I had every level beat at three stars and was ranked pretty high UNTIL.....I did the update and LOST EVERY THING!!!! How frustrating is that??? I started over but it's not the same. I play it while waiting for things....laundry, kids, meetings, ryan's show to be over ect....

  2.

I am not sure if this is "strange" but after 2 years of having the house on the market I have become obsessed with organizing and cleaning. It seems pretty lame and a bit obnoxious but it is who I have become.  Everything has its place and with three small kids and a husband it is almost impossible....plus with all of the Angry Birds I have to play there is NO TIME!!!! I think I like the challenge, everyday I do a walk through and make a mental note of what needs to be done.  My walkthrough starts in R's room, I get her cup, make her bed open the blinds and pick out her clothes, making sure to pick up anything on my path. I do the same in the boys room, then the kids bathroom.  I assess the laundry and I might start a load before we leave for the day if I have time.  I feed the kids breakfast and clean the kitchen while im in there.  Then I get them dressed and let them watch a show while I get ready and tidy up our room.  I get the kids in the car and do one last living room/playroom walk through and pick up the diapers on the way out. But that's not an addiction right....more like obsessive but close enough!
